The peak is located among the highest peaks of the Karakoram Mountains. Gasherbrum I is also known as GI. There are six Gasherbrum peaks in the region. However, GI is the greatest of them all. However, GI is the greatest of them all. Experienced mountaineer H. De Segogne leads the French mountaineering team on Gasherbrum I. However, they met with failure. A few years later, an American climber named Nicky Clinch climbed the peak with his team. Nich and his team climbed the mountain in 1958. The GI Base Camp route starts at Skardu. First you’ll encounter the Shigar Valley, then the Baltoro Glacier. After seeing the stunning scenery of these places, you will arrive at the base camp of the American soldiers.
