Chogolisa( or Bride Peak) is a mountain in the Karakorum region of
Pakistan. It lies near the Baltoro Glacier in the Concordia region which is
home to some of the loftiest peaks of the world

the loftiest on the SW face( Chogolisa- I) rises to,665 measures(,147 ft). The alternate loftiest
at,654 measures on the NE side(
Chogolisa- II) is the one named Bride Peak by Martin Conway in 1892. The first rise on Chogolisa( SW) 7668m 25157ft was made
by an Austrian passage platoon led by Eduard Koblmuller. Gustav
Ammerer and Fred Pressl were the first who reached the peak on August 2, 1975. The platoon leader Eduard Koblmuller fell through
a cornice during climbing, but fortunately, he was roped and platoon members pull himsafely.In 1958, a
Japanese passage from Kyoto University
led byT. Kawabara made the first ascent of Chogolisa- II, placingM. Fujihira
andK. Hirai on top.
