As Pakistan is the home of refugees and asylum seekers from many different
foreign countries, it has become a point of interest to many people of
different cultural backgrounds. It is a fact that Pakistan’s official national
religion is Islam, and about 97% of the people in Pakistan follow Islam. But
there are people of many other belief systems who have made this country their
home. The most visited shrines are those which belong to Sufi saints. There are
also many Sikh gurdwara s that are very popular with visitors who come here to
pay homage to their local religious figures. There is also a large number of
Hindu temples as well as Christian churches within the country which may be
visited during your stay here in Pakistan.
Day 1: Arrival in Islamabad
Upon arrival in Islamabad, you’ll be picked up by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to rest or explore the city.
Day 2: Islamabad City Tour
After breakfast, you’ll start your religious tour with a visit to Faisal Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world and a beautiful example of contemporary Islamic architecture. Next, you’ll visit the Shrine of Hazrat Bari Imam.
Day 3: Taxila and Hasan Abdal Day Trip
On this day, you’ll take a day trip to Taxila, a UNESCO World Heritage site that was an important center of Buddhist learning in ancient times.
Day 4: Lahore City Tour
After breakfast, you’ll take a flight to Lahore, the cultural capital of Pakistan. Your first stop in Lahore will be the Badshahi Mosque, one of the most iconic landmarks of the city and a stunning example of Mughal architecture.
Day 5: Multan City Tour
Visit to the Shrine of Shah Rukn-e-Alam, the tomb of a famous Sufi saint and a masterpiece of Islamic architecture. Next, you’ll visit the mausoleum of Bahauddin Zakariya.
Day 6: Karachi City Tour
After breakfast, you’ll take a flight to Karachi, the largest city in Pakistan and a hub of trade and commerce. You’ll start with a visit to the Masjid e Tooba.
Day 7: Departure from Karachi
On your last day, you’ll be transferred back to Karachi for your flight back home.
